Kepler Telescope Has Found A Planet Better Than Earth – My question is How do we get there?๐Ÿค”

The question to fins out if we are alone in the universe or is it for an alternative earth has yielded more fruits. A new plate has been discovered by powerful telescopes and it appears to be habitable. Wait! Its not that close. You cannot take a flight to there yet. Like all things of this nature, the place is light years away.

Kepler 186f is the first validated earth-sized planet in the habitable zone of its star. This planet orbits the star in 130 days and so this places it in the habitable zone, meaning it could have liquid water on its surface. It is one of several hundred planets that have been identified in the habitable zone of this star based on the Kepler data.

The habitable zone, also known as the Goldilocks Zone, is the distance from a star in which liquid water could exist on orbiting planet surfaces. This discovery has opened up the possibility of there being planets better suited for life than Earth.

Our planet Earth is threaded with an ever expanding population and limited resources, so the discovery of planets in the habitable zone of other stars provides hope for the future. It shows us that there may be other planets that could provide us with new resources and new ways of living. We need a plan B for our planet and this discovery could be the answer – if we can get there

Johannes Kepler, a German astronomer born in 1571, is an icon in the scientific world and has been credited with the term โ€˜satelliteโ€™ as well as providing accurate knowledge of the motion of planets. NASA named a planet-finding telescope after him and it was launched in 2009. The Kepler Telescope was decommissioned in 2018 and in that time it observed 530,506 stars, confirmed 2800 exoplanets and introduced several thousand more potential exoplanets that have yet to be confirmed.
